The new construction from the firm of GETRAG is a mechanical shift gear with 6 forward gears and one reverse gear. The shifting of the gearbox is done by an electric motor via a gear wheel trans- mission onto a gear selector drum. The slide shoes of the gearshift rods engage into the groove tracks of the gear selector drum. For the differential, 2 differing transmission ratios can be shifted, which means that 6 forward gears result from the 3 forward gears of the main shaft. In shifting, an automatic clutch actuator takes over the clutch engagement and de-clutching. The gearbox is supplied as a semi-automatic or fully automatic gearbox. All the gears can be shifted by turning the electric motor. The function of the differential is also easily visible.
